In my 30's: Work Hard, Play Harder...
In my 30s, I was immersed in building my career, drawing on my high school and collegiate athletics for activity but neglecting nutrition and adopting fad diets like carbo-loading and energy gels.
A cycle of yo-yo dieting began; I would gain 10-20 pounds, then engage in intense cardio and restrictive diets to lose weight, only to regain it quickly. This cycle repeated for years, with my weight fluctuating between 180-195 lbs.

In my 40's: Career in Full Force!
During my 40s, my career thrived with numerous promotions and entrepreneurial ventures, yet I neglected to balance work with play. Fitness became a weekend activity rather than a daily routine.
Nutrition knowledge was lacking; dining out became regular, pushing my weight past 200 lbs to stabilize around 225 lbs. This era was marked by the recurring promise, "I'll start on Monday."

In my 50's: A Survivor
This photo marks my 50th birthday. Over the next years, I tried various diets—keto, vegan, Mediterranean, paleo, etc. Each brought temporary weight loss, but the weight returned.
The cycle continued until a cardiac arrest at 54 nearly ended my life. Surviving that event, I faced a grueling recovery, learning painfully that my fitness regimen lacked crucial dietary components. The journey was marred by PTSD, depression, and a loss of focus, leading me to pause my career as I searched for answers.

In my 60's: A Long and Painful Journey
Recovering from a heart attack brought immense stress, compounded by years of physical neglect which led to severe orthopedic problems. My weight peaked at 260 lbs, prompting knee replacement and multiple ankle surgeries. These were wake-up calls that led to a new direction.
I discovered a weight loss solution where I initially lost 25 lbs and gained a basic understanding of nutrition and mental health. However, a weight-loss plateau soon set in, and my metabolism seemed to stall, prompting me to continue seeking solutions until I found MetPro.
