Apple Quinoa Breakfast

Keep warm this winter with our sweet apple cinnamon quinoa breakfast dish.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup quinoa
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 small apples
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 oz slivered almonds.

Directions

1.) Peel and core both apples. Chop them into bite-sized pieces. Add quinoa, water and apples to a sauce pan.
2.) Bring to a boil, cover and reduce to simmer for 20 – 25 minutes. The apples will be soft and the quinoa will have absorbed the water.
3.) Stir in cinnamon and transfer mixture to two bowls. Sprinkle with 1 oz of almonds and additional cinnamon (if desired). And enjoy!
