Here’s What You Need To Know
No one actually “knows” his or her exact metabolic rate without baseline testing. You can establish a semi-reliable baseline within 72 hours as long as testing protocols are observed (sorry no dinner parties just yet). Your baseline intake must be stable for three consecutive days. Additionally there can’t be any sweeping changes to your activity –even if you feel inspired, now’s not the time to start a new exercise schedule.
After the first 72 hours we’ll have enough data to form some conclusions about your metabolic rate. With-in 6-9 days we’ll have enough reliable data about your body’s responsiveness to implement an assertive strategy. And “oh by the way”, it’s open season for your fitness routine at this point too.
Here’s How It Works
It’s a numbers game now. If we take a static baseline and measure your response, we get empirical data –not just some guru’s opinion –we get actual “that just happened” kind of facts, and like it or not, you’ll now have the truth about your metabolic state.
What matters, is that we’ll have legitimate intel on how your body responds under a controlled set of circumstances. Now we can make rational and calculated choices regarding what levers to pull… such as calorie restriction versus carb restriction –increased exercise intensity vs increased duration –etcetera, etcetera. It all starts with getting an accurate baseline –keep in mind, there’s no range everyone falls in –it’s just what your body does or doesn’t do, and the courage to address your metabolism head on.
In the next lesson I’m going to teach you how to disrupt your daily routine (in a good way) that could change your life.
