Baked Breakfast Apples

Ingredients
- 1 cup of dry old fashioned rolled oats
- 4 baking apples, tops sliced off and insides hollowed out
- 1 TBS cinnamon
- 4 oz pecans or walnuts, separated
Directions
1.) Preheat oven to 400. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat combine oatmeal and water and stir occasionally until creamy.
2.) Stir in ground cinnamon and let cool slightly.
3.) Transfer apples to a glass baking dish and spoon in oatmeal. Bake until apples are soft and bubbly, about 35 minutes.
4.) Top oatmeal with pecans or walnuts.
